Restaurants & Bars
The licence, the lease and the fit-out, handled as one matter.
From small bars and on-premises licensed restaurants through to multi-venue restaurant groups, LAS Lawyers acts on the licensing, leasing and commercial work that decides whether the venue opens, scales and trades.
Overview
How we work with restaurants & bars.
Restaurants and bars sit between the hotel pathway and the retail pathway. The licensing work is more contained than a full hotel licence, but the leasing and commercial work is where the deal is won or lost, and where most operators get caught short on the way in.
We act for first-time operators on the path to opening, established groups on second and third venues, and incoming buyers acquiring an existing licensed business. The work is most often a combination of an on-premises or small-bar licence application, a lease, a business purchase or formation, and the financing that backs it.
Our advice is calibrated to the scale. Restaurant operators don't need a hotel-grade compliance regime, and we don't pretend they do. The matter gets the depth it warrants and not more.
